Five Righteousness Unto Salvation of Jesus
Note:Five Utensils in Earthly Tabernacle Represents Five Righteousness In Heavenly Tabernacle
Jesus Minister In Heavenly Tabernacle
Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. For every high priest is ordained to of-fer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore it is of necessity that this may have somewhat also to offer. For if he were on earth, he should not be a priest, seeing that there are priests that offer gifts accord-ing to the law: Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admon-ished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. But now hath he obtained a more ex-cellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.(Hebrews 8:1-6 KJV)
Jesus is the high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek. He now sits at the right hand of the throne of the God in heaven. What does Jesus do? He ministers the sanctuary- the true tabernacle which is set up by the Lord not by the hands of men.
Before Jesus came, law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to serve God in the tabernacle of old covenant. The tabernacle of old covenant is built by Moses who was called by God to built it and given the very details of how to build the tabernacle. Now when Jesus came, the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also. Jesus become a priest not on the basis of a regulation but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life since he does not belong to Levi tribe.
The priests set by law belong to flesh having no permanent priesthood who have weakness, death, and sins. Unlike the other high priests, Jesus does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for our sins once for all when he
offered himself. Jesus is the priest set by the Holy Spirit having forever priesthood who is holy, blameless and pure. Whoever came to God through Jesus would be completely saved.
In a word, priest and high priest are not abolished. But the regulations to be the priest and high priests have been changed. In old covenant, priesthood belong s to Levi tribe. In new covenant, priesthood belongs to people who are born from water and the Holy Spirit.
Tabernacle is not abolished. But the way to build Tabernacle is changed. In old covenant, the
Tabernacle was built by Moses through the hands of Men according to the details given by God. In new covenant, the Tabernacle is built by the Lord according to the very details given by Jesus.
As we read from Hebrew 8:2, Jesus minister in the sanctuary-true tabernacle set up by the Lord. We need minister as Jesus do so we could have eternal life. As God commanded Moses when he was about to build the tabernacle" see to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain." Why God commanded Moses to make everything of Tabernacle
according to the pattern shown on the mountain since it is a copy and shadow of what is in heav-en.
Law is shadow. Jesus is the reality. Law is shadow. Jesus is the very image.
The Tabernacle built by Moses is a copy. The Tabernacle built by Jesus is the reality.
The Tabernacle built by Moses is a picture. The Tabernacle built by Jesus is the real body.
Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.(Colossians 2:17 KJV)
For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.(Hebrews 10:1 KJV)
The Tabernacle in old covenant built according to law is a shadow. In new covenant, when Jesus came, he gave us the real way to build the True Tabernacle(sanctuary) so we could serve at the sanctuary. The Tabernacle in old covenant where priest served at is a copy and shadow of the True Tabernacle indicated by Jesus. Let us see the structure of the Tabernacle in old covenant and the new way given by Jesus to build up the True Tabernacle for us to serve.
