Keep The Faith Of Jesus
(Revelation 14:12) Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
Jesus came, not to destroy the law, but to fulfill the law
(Matthew 19:18-19) He said to Him, “Which ones?” Jesus said, “ ‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ "
Where are these commandments? God wrote the ten commandements on the tablets of stone and then put tablets in the ark. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the tablets of the covenant.
(1 Kings 8:9) Nothing was in the ark except the two tablets of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
In the last days, the ark of the covenant appeared in heaven, and the commandment of God written on it will be the standard of judgment. People who want to be saved should keep the commandments of God.
Jesus summed up the Ten Commandments into two
(Matthew 22:36-40) “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
The commandment on the tablets of stone was written by God:
(Exodus 32:15)And Moses turned and went down from the mountain, and the two tablets of the Testimony were in his hand. The tablets were written on both sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.
Other Laws of Moses were written by Moses in the Book of the Law, and the Book of the Law was placed outside the Ark
(Deuteronomy 31:26) “Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you;
Moses commanded Aaron to engrave the law written by Moses on the stone when the Israelites entered Canaan.
(Deureronomy 27:2-8) And it shall be, on the day when you cross over the Jordan to the land which the Lord your God is giving you, that you shall set up for yourselves large stones, and whitewash them with lime. You shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have crossed over, that you may enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you, ‘a land flowing with milk and honey,’ just as the Lord God of your fathers promised you. Therefore it shall be, when you have crossed over the Jordan, that on Mount Ebal you shall set up these stones, which I command you today, and you shall whitewash them with lime. And there you shall build an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones; you shall not use an iron tool on them. You shall build with whole stones the altar of the Lord your God, and offer burnt offerings on it to the Lord your God. You shall offer peace offerings, and shall eat there, and rejoice before the Lord your God. And you shall write very plainly on the stones all the words of this law.
When they entered the land of Canaan, Joshua engraved the Moses' Law on the stone in the face of the people.
(Joshua 8:32) And there, in the presence of the children of Israel, he wrote on the stones a copy of the law of Moses, which he had written.
These laws which were engraved in the stone, have been destroyed by the blood of the cross
(Ephesians 2:15) having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
The law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh. God sent his Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh. Therefore, by faith in Jesus Christ, sin shall no longer be your master, because we are not under the law, but under grace. Before Jesus Christ came, men are guarded under the law. But when Jesus Christ ame, men turned from the law to Jesus Christ, and let us become righteous by faith. But because of the law, we are guarded under the law. The truth of the future is revealed which is Jesus Christ. The law is the master of our training, leading us to Christ and making us justified by faith.
(Deuteronomy 27:23) Cursed is the one who lies with his mother-in-law.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!'
(John 1:17) For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
The role of the law is to condemn sins, but not remit the sins
Therefore, the Son of God came to the world to save his people from their sins, called Immanuel, that God is with us. Although God passed on the law through Moses, people could not escape from sin. They had been in the wilderness for thirty-eight years, repeated crimes. In the end, apart from those had faith, others' bodies were scattered in the wilderness. Therefore, Hebrews said that the covenant was awkward and lacked.
(Hebrews 8:7-13) For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord , when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord . For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord : I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord ,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” In that He says, “A new covenant ,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
Although engraved on the stone, man cannot escape sin because of the weakness of the flesh. This is the covenant of the law, the covenant of the stone, the Old Testament. The law is not a true image, but a shadow, and it cannot be made complete. And the law is nothing. Because the more beautiful hope has been introduced, and by hope, we are able to come to God, so the Moses regulations are abolished.
(Hebrews 10:1) For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.
(Hebrews 7:18-19) For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness, for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.'
This is the New Testament
Paul said: It is not written in ink, not in stone. It is written in our heart by the Holy Spirit.
(II Corinthians 3:3) clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
This is the New Testament. God puts his law in the heart of the people, so that people truly worship God in the Spirit and truth.
(Hebrews 8:10) For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord : I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
(Galatians 5:18) But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
(II Corinthians 3:17) Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is , there is liberty.
The law has not been destroyed and the commandment has not been destroyed. It is the rules and regulations which were recorded in the law have been destroyed. The law will be fulfilled through the faith of Jesus, which is the way of reborn and which is the complete truth.
(Titus 3:5) not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
No one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit
God had prepared salvation before, and when it was time to meet, he sent his only beloved son to the world, to save his people from sin. And give the Holy Spirit to guide people into all the truth. The truth is revealed to man, and whoever receives the truth, God gives him/her authority to be children of God. The way God saves us is through the washing of reborn and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
(John 3:3-5) Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
To enter the kingdom of God, one must be born again, otherwise we cannot enter the kingdom of God. The corrupted one cannot bear the immortality. Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. We came to this world and we need eat and drink because we are flesh. The flesh gives birth to flesh which is born from blood, lust, and humanity. And when the time is reached, the human body is to be swallowed up by death. Therefore, for entering the kingdom of the living God, we should be born again, from both water and the Spirit. The Spirit gives birth to spirit which is not born from blood, lust and humanity. This reborn refers to the washing of reborn.
Through the salvation of the cross, God gives us rebirth, and makes us a new creation.
Through the salvation of the cross, God gives us rebirth, and makes us a new creation. It is not by yourself, the law and requiring works but by the merits of Jesus' redemption, the grace of God and requiring faith. When Jesus died on the cross, he would use the blood he has shed to wash away the sins of the people. The fountain of Jesus' blood for washing sin had been opened.
(I Peter 1:17-18) And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,
(I John 5:6-8) This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and these three agree as one.
So although people are baptized in living water, there is also the blood of Jesus in it, and the Holy Spirit is running. When baptizing, people often see the blood of the Lord Jesus, in the place where the baptism - or in the sea, or in the river, in the living water. Some people saw it, however some people did not see it. It is because there is the blood of Jesus in it. God opened the eyes of some people so that they saw visions.
(Acts 2:38) Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
(Acts 22:16) And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
Water baptism is for cleaning the sins from our heart and make us have an innocent conscience before God
(Hebrews 10:22) let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.
(Matthew 15:18-20) But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.
Although people can perform well on the outside, they still cannot save themselves from sin. Those who are unrighteous are sinful, knowing what is good but not to do it. If somebody hates his brother, this is like killing. If somebody has a greedy heart, this is like stealing. All these sins are generated from the heart. Adam made the sin, and then sin entered into the world. Everyone became sinned. Since man was in mother's womb, he was sinned. Therefore, although the child is still young, he also will be awkward and hateful. This is because man's consciences are corrupted.
Therefore, Jesus Christ came to the world to save His people from sin. Sin entered the world and death entered the world. Jesus died for us and was raised again for us. He tread our sins underfoot and casted out all our iniquities into the depths of the sea. Since sin is removed from us, God gives eternal life to us.
(Hebrews 2:14-15) Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Salvation was achieved on the cross
At the time of the Old Testament, man sacrificed with cattle and sheep. In fact, the blood of cattle and sheep can not really remove the sin. Man sacrifice every year. After the death of the highest priest, his son became the higest priest. This is the shadow, the entity is Jesus. This is prefiguration the source of the blood of Jesus Christ for washing sin. When Jesus came, the law changed. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, has come to be the highest priest who has done more beautiful things. After the larger and more complete tabernacle, it is not made by man or belonged to the world. Unlike the other highest priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day by day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.
So when Jesus died on the cross, he said, "It is finished", he bowed his head and delivered the soul to God. What had be finished? It was salvation. Salvation was achieved on the cross. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom and the door to the eternal heaven is opened. Jesus takes himself as the way to lead people into the kingdom of the living God. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. "
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! Instead of being close to God in the mouth, but keeping close to God in heart. We shouldn't fear man more than fear God.
Therefore, God tells us in advance through Ezekiel.
(Ezekiel 36:26-27) I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
The achievement of salvation is through the cross of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, the three sacraments are related to the remission of sin
1. Baptism in the living water. It's for wahsing sins away from man's heart
(Acts 22:16) And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
2. Foot washing. It's for wahsing sins away from our behavior and make us take part of Jesus.
Jesus said that Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet, then their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you. This does not refer to the cleanliness of the body, which refers to the cleanliness of sins from our heart. (Jone 13)
3. Holy Communion. It's for having the eternal life of Jesus in us.
If you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and do not drink the blood of the Son of Man, there will be no life in it. Those who eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink the blood of the Son of man have eternal life. At the end of the day Jesus will raise him up from death. Man who eats the flesh of the Son of man and the blood of the Son of man abides in Jesus, and Jesus in him.
(John 6:53-56) Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
The unleavened bread is changed to the flesh of Jesus and the pure grape juice is changed to the blood of Jesus after giving thanks in the Spirit. Receiving the flesh of Jesus is for having the image of Jesus. Receiving the blood of Jesus is for having the life of Jesus. We need to have the life of Jesus and also live out the image of Jeus. God made man according to His own image and likeness. The image of Jesus is righteousness and holiness, the likeness of Jesus is gentle and humble in heart.
The blood of Jesus has the effect of forgiving sins, so everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat the bread and drink the cup. For those who eat and drink without discerning the body of Christ will eat and drink judgment on themselves. God will give life and help people live out the image of God. Jesus said that if the branch leaves the vine, it can't do anything, and it will dry out. In Jesus, you have lifeand get richer.
