Jesus And The Sabbath(3)

· It is just like a child under the law, until Jesus Christ came to change our thoughts and actions. We cannot pour new wine into old wineskins. If so, the skins will burst and the wine will run out. Adults have his own behavior, mind and pursuit, if we use the children's norms to regulate adults, then adults are not free, they also cannot be regulated.

If we prohibited adults do anything but only go home and have a quickly eating and bath after work on six o'clock. From seven to eight o'clock he must do the company's homework, after that he can watch TV and surf on Internet, while the time cannot exceed half an hour. Finally he must sleep at nine o'clock. Although these rules are good, the purpose is also good. But can adults stand it? You will find it is absurd to treat adults as children, am i right?

· Jesus Christ has come and he has given the gospel truth to guide everyone to the seat of Christ. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord ,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord.

The new wine refers to the gospel, and now it is time to use new wineskins. We cannot look at the new problems with the old look, using the old wineskin to hold the new wine would cause problems. The Old Testament has passed and the New Testament has come, regardless of the fact and the changed situation, wishing only to do good, often cannot help doing harm.

You can not regulate an adult with the child's norm. The old wineskin of the regulations can not be used to restrain the new wine of the gospel,if so the skin would burst. While pouring the new wine into the newskin of the Holy Spirit, and benefit by associating together. This is what Paul says,letter kills, but the Holy Spirit give life.

· Sabbath is holy day. However, it is not to say that we are tied under the rules. As usual I never do any work for money on the Sabbath. However, a sister had a exam that day, then I said to her, you quickly went to the exam, after the exam if time allowed you could attend the party to worship God. It is also not yo say that I always work on the Sabbath, and in this case I have abolish the law and abolish the Sabbath.

Jesus came to strengthen the covenant, to make the Sabbath true Sabbath and holy Sabbath. Unlike the Israelites, who still cherished the bitterness of jealousies and strife on the Sabbath,still carried their own burden in the temple on the Sabbath. From the Sabbath under the rules, to a true spiritual Sabbath, so that people may enjoy true rest, know how to trust God, put down their burden, be free and joyful, and truly worship God with heart and truth. And only in Jesus Christ and by Jesus Christ can we enjoy the rest.

· The Lord said: In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. People refuse to go back to rest, want to run on their own feet and do on their own methods. Therefore, God also let people do what they like. In the end those who are chasing fast however they can not rest in peace while those return to rest and wait for God are blessed.

This is what the Sovereign Lord , the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it. You said, ‘No, we will flee on horses.’ Therefore you will flee! You said, ‘We will ride off on swift horses.’ Therefore your pursuers will be swift! A thousand will flee at the threat of one; at the threat of five you will all flee away, till you are left like a flagstaff on a mountaintop, like a banner on a hill.” Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! (Isaiah 30:15-18 NIV)

In fact, the Sabbath really points to Jesus Christ as well. The law is a shadow while the entity is Christ. Jesus said: I am the way, the truth, and the life. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
